About the Event

Calling all adventure kids, parents, grandparents, and relatives! Join us for a family-friendly foraging tour for all ages at Timpson Creek Farm; a beautiful organic farm property that borders the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Together, we will learn about the safest, family-friendly wild herbs and foods that grow in our area during the summertime. You might even recognize some of them from your own backyard! Everyone will have a chance to meet the farm's very own foragers - three Nigerian dwarf goats, participate in a wild foods scavenger hunt, and enjoy a refreshing wild lemonade at the end of our tour.

Cost: $40 per family of 4 ($5 per additional relative)

Timpson Creek Farm is located at 6093 Hwy 76 West, Clayton, GA, 30525 directly across the street from Black Bear Creek Antiques near Lake Burton and about 6 miles from Downtown Clayton.

Suggested items to bring: Participants should feel comfortable walking up to 1 mile. Please wear closed-toe shoes with socks and long pants/sleeves to protect against poison ivy and insects. Feel free to bring a water bottle, notebook and pen, backpack, light rain jacket, bug spray, and anything else you may need to feel comfortable outdoors. Please note: there are no restroom facilities available on-site.

In the event of inclement weather we will contact you to reschedule.
