Sold Out! Late Summer Foraging at Terra Incognita

Join herbalist, nutritionist, and forager Cara-Lee Langston of Wildcraft Kitchen for a beginners plant and fungi foraging tour of beautiful Terra Incognita Vineyard. This scenic wildnerness property sits high up on the mountain above Lake Rabun and is surrounded by thousands of acres of pristine and protected forest lands. 

Our workshop begins with a 2 hour plant/fungi foraging ID walk where we will explore the vineyard trails in search of wild edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms to observe. We will then head back to the gorgeous covered pavilion to enjoy a wine tasting with the Terra Incognita crew accompanied by a plant-based wild foods cooking demonstration and tasting. 

Terra Incognita Vineyard is located at 1821 Vandiver Mtn. Rd., Clarkesville, GA.

Note: this is a remote location. You will travel down a gravel road  for 7-10 minutes before reaching the vineyard entrance. Visit  www.terraincognitavineyard.com for directions. Do not rely on dashboard  GPS. Google Maps is most reliable.

This experience is perfect for food and nature lovers who enjoy spending time outdoors and want to learn more about safe, sustainable, and ethical foraging practices from an expert guide...and enjoy some local food and wine! Non-alcoholic beverage options also available.

Suggested items to bring: Participants should feel comfortable walking up to 2 miles. Please wear closed-toe shoes with socks and long pants/sleeves to protect against poison ivy and insects. Feel free to bring a water bottle, notebook and pen, backpack, light rain jacket, bug spray, and anything else you may need to feel comfortable outdoors.

Inclement weather: This class takes place rain or shine. Covered spaces are available in the event of inclement weather. Only in the event of severe inclement weather will we contact you to reschedule.
