Learn about the edible mushrooms that live in your neighborhood!

Cara-Lee Langston, founder of Wildcraft Kitchen, will share her knowledge on mushroom foraging during this 2-hour walk. We will explore the diverse habitats within Tessentee Bottomland Preserve, where we will meet and learn about any edible mushrooms we encounter. Along the way, we will discuss mushroom identification, cooking methods, foraging ethics, and medicinal preparations, leaving time to admire the non-edible creatures as well!

Please bring water, a snack, and sun/bug protection. You may also want a notebook to take notes in, and other naturalist tools such as a hand lens.
