About the Event
Summer is here and the wild foods forest is in full bloom! Join us for a foraging tour of Timpson Creek Farm; a beautiful organic farm property that borders the Chattahoochee National Forest. In just two hours, we are likely to identify 20-30 different species of plants and mushrooms that can be used as food and/or medicine. Guests will enjoy a refreshing herbal beverage and wild foods snack while they learn to safely identify a variety of wild foods.
Timpson Creek Farm is located at 6093 Hwy 76 West, Clayton, GA, 30525 directly across the street from Black Bear Creek Antiques near Lake Burton and about 6 miles from Downtown Clayton.
Suggested items to bring: Participants should feel comfortable walking up to 1 mile. Please wear closed-toe shoes with socks and long pants/sleeves to protect against poison ivy and insects. Feel free to bring a water bottle, notebook and pen, backpack, light rain jacket, bug spray, and anything else you may need to feel comfortable outdoors.

Inclement weather: This class takes place rain or shine. Covered spaces are available in the event of inclement weather. Only in the event of severe inclement weather, will we contact you to reschedule.
