About the Event
There is an abundance of wild food growing all over Rabun County. Come take a walk with local herbalist and forager, Cara-Lee Langston of Wildcraft Kitchen. Learn how you can begin to safely identify wild edibles including flowers, leaves, roots, fruit, and mushrooms.
We will all meet at the Wander North Georgia store on Main Street in Downtown Clayton at 9:30am. From there, we will caravan to a nearby local farm about 5 miles away from downtown.
Our walk takes place at beautiful Timpson Creek Farm which offers meadows, creeksides, hilltops, and wooded areas to explore. During our walk, participants will enjoy a refreshing tea and snack prepared with ethically harvested wild ingredients. This workshop is best suited for adults and is not pet friendly.
