About the Event
For our June Wildcraft & Wine workshop, we welcome guest instructor, Patricia Kyritsi Howell, RH (AHG), author of Medicinal Plants of the Southern Appalachians and director of the BotanoLogos School of Herbal Studies in Clayton, Georgia.
Join herbalist, Patricia Kyritsi Howell for a leisurely plant walk to learn about the wild herbs of early summer. With the beautiful grounds of Terra Incognita Vineyard as our classroom, we’ll explore the many native and naturalized herbs that grow wild in the Southern Appalachians. After our plant walk, guests will enjoy a wine tasting and non-alcoholic refreshments.
Terra Incognita Vineyard is located at 1821 Vandiver Mtn. Rd., Clarkesville, GA.

Suggested items to bring: Participants should feel comfortable walking up to 2 miles. When walking on the wooded trails, we recommend closed-toe shoes with socks and long pants/sleeves to protect against poison ivy and insects. Please bring a water bottle, notebook and pen, backpack, light rain jacket, bug spray, and anything else you may need to feel comfortable outdoors.
Inclement weather: This class takes place rain or shine. Covered spaces are available in the event of inclement weather. Only in the event of severe inclement weather, will we contact you to reschedule.
Covid policy: If you do not feel well, please stay home. Full refunds and credits are available for cancellation due to positive covid-19 test or exposure. Please bring a mask. Masks are required whenever social distancing is not possible.
